There is a simple idea behind The Goudhurst Inn: Food and drink the classic way. In the very best traditions of the classic village pub, we wanted a place that is the heart and stomach of the community, comfortable, relaxed and good on the eye no matter what time of the day or occasion.

Our hope is that we can build a sustainable and ongoing addition to our village, and at the same time, create a pub and restaurant that everyone can be proud of and enjoy whatever their poison or pleasure - we took the steps to rescue and reinvigorate one of Goudhurst’s oldest Inn’s, because we believe that a village has to evolve and prosper, and to not only provide for the local community, but to attract and engage with a wider audience looking to sample the delights and joy of a rural pace of life.
